Fleet API reference

Internal REST API for the fleet controller. Version 2.

The staging controller is reachable from the handbook host for integration testing. It is internal; do not share the URL outside engineering.

Authentication

All requests carry a short-lived bearer token issued by the fleet controller. Tokens are scoped per team and expire after one hour. There are no long-lived API keys in production. Staging uses a fixed token that make bootstrap writes to config/fleet.yaml.

Errors

Errors are JSON: { "error": "string", "code": "SNAKE_CASE" }. Retry on 429 and 503 with exponential backoff starting at 500 ms.
